Welcome to the MPS Website

If fresher’s week passed by in a bit of a blur for you then this website has everything you need to know about the club, who we are, what we do, and where we go. This website has everything you need to know about the club, who we are, what we do, and where we go. We cater for all types of mountaineering; everything from walking to the pub, basic hill walks in the Southern Highlands, through winter skills training and winter mountain routes in the Cairngorms, to demanding rock and ice climbing. Since MPS was founded in 1990 it has been agreed that Scotland offers the best environment in which to do this so as often as possible we get up to Scotland so members can enjoy the wild and remote mountains there. So if you just fancy a wander in some stunning Scottish scenery or if you want to climb a classic ice or mixed route then you’re in the right place. On all trips you’ll find like-minded people keen to get out into the hills with and we are very fortunate in MPS of the wide range of experience of our members; this is perfect if you wish to learn new skills or develop and practice old ones because there will always be someone willing to share their knowledge. Take some time to explore the site, check out the up comming trips for this year, save it to your favourites, join the mailing list, and add the news feed to your homepage to be right upto date with the very latest changes. All the best for the coming year,
The MPS committee ||
